Finally! On 26 July 2012, the Mediation Act took effect in Germany (Mediation Act)
It implements the European Directive on Mediation (2082/52/EC) from 21 May 2008 and therefore adds an important building block for a European network to regulate mediation. A supplemental ordinance will follow that will regulate the training, further education and certification of mediators.
